2. The Promoter and Platform

2.1 Promoter Identity. The Promoter of each Competition is: ZAFFLE LTD, trading as MONOPOLY COMPS, company number SC863889, with its registered office at PAVILION 2, FINNIESTON BUSINESS PARK, GLASGOW, G3 8AU, UNITED KINGDOM.

2.2 Correspondence Address. The Promoter’s correspondence address for postal entries, complaints, and other correspondence is MONOPOLY COMPS, PO BOX 8560, ISLE OF CUMBRAE, KA28 9AD. This may differ from the registered office address at clause 2.1.

2.3 Contact Details. Entrants may contact the Promoter using the following:
(a) General enquiries and entry assistance: hello@monopolycomps.co.uk;
(b) Complaints: hello@monopolycomps.co.uk;
(c) ADR referrals: hello@monopolycomps.co.uk.

2.4 Platform Provider. The Promoter operates Competitions using the technology platform provided by Zap.

2.5 Zap’s Role. Zap acts solely as a technology provider and does not:
(a) operate Competitions;
(b) hold player funds; or
(c) fulfil prizes.

2.6 Promoter’s Responsibilities. The Promoter is solely responsible for:
(a) the operation and administration of Competitions;
(b) compliance with all Applicable Laws; and
(c) compliance with the Code.

2.7 Gambling Act Statement. These Competitions are not licensable gambling under the Gambling Act 2005 by virtue of the free entry route provided in accordance with these Terms.

2.8 Free Entry Route Administration. The Promoter:
(a) processes all valid free entries with equal priority to paid entries
(b) ensures that free entries are uploaded directly into the same central draw database as paid entries
(c) treats all unique entries identically, ensuring completely equal odds of winning regardless of the entry method

3. The Competition

3.1 The title and specific format of each Competition (including whether it is a prize draw, Instant Win Competition, Instant Reveal Promotion or skill-based competition) will be set out on the Competition Page of the Promoter.

3.2 These Terms and Conditions, together with the applicable Competition Details published on the relevant Competition Page and the Promoter’s Privacy Notice, form the contract between the Promoter and the Entrant for each Competition. Where there is any conflict between these documents, they apply in the following order of priority (highest first): (a) the applicable Competition Details for the specific Competition; (b) these Terms and Conditions; (c) the Privacy Notice.

3.3 If any provision (or part of a provision) is held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid or unenforceable, that decision affects only that provision (or part) and does not invalidate the remaining provisions.

3.4 By submitting an entry to a Competition, whether paid or free, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and by any competition-specific rules stated on the relevant Competition Page.

4. How to Enter

4.1 Each Competition will run from the Opening Date to the Closing Date specified on the Competition Page of the Promoter. All times and dates referred to are UK time (GMT or BST as applicable).

4.2
All entries must be received by the Promoter no earlier than the Opening Date and no later than the Closing Date. Late, duplicate, incomplete or illegible entries may be disqualified.

4.3 The Promoter:
(a) may amend Competition dates only where reasonably necessary due to circumstances outside the Promoter’s reasonable control (for example, a nationwide postal strike, a material website outage, or a legal or regulatory requirement that makes it impossible to run the Competition on the original dates); and
(b) will not extend Competitions to increase sales, nor alter them for other commercial reasons.

4.4 Draw Duration. The Promoter will ensure an appropriate time period elapses between a Competition opening and its conclusion, to encourage responsible play and to allow players a reasonable opportunity to enter via the Postal Entry Route.

4.5 Entry rules:
(a) the maximum number of entries per Entrant (if any) will be stated on the Competition Page;
(b) multiple entries are permitted unless the Competition Page expressly excludes it;
(c) entries must be submitted in English; and
(d) the Promoter reserves the right to void entries generated by automated means, scripts, or in breach of these Terms.
(e) each Entrant may hold and use only one account with the Promoter. The use or creation of multiple, duplicate or otherwise associated accounts by the same individual is strictly prohibited.

4.6 Account Verification and Duplicate Accounts. For the purposes of identifying duplicate or associated accounts, the Promoter may compare information provided by entrants, including, but not limited to, the Entrant’s name, date of birth and address, together with any other information reasonably available to the Promoter for the purpose of verifying eligibility.

4.7 Consequences of Duplicate Accounts. If an Entrant is selected as a potential winner and the Promoter subsequently determines that the winning entry was submitted through a duplicate, multiple or otherwise prohibited account, that entry and any associated prize entitlement shall be deemed null and void. The Entrant shall not be entitled to claim or receive the prize. Where an entry is declared null and void under this clause, any tickets purchased through the duplicate or prohibited account shall be cancelled, and any applicable payments for those tickets shall not be refunded. The Entrant’s valid, original account and any tickets legitimately purchased through that account shall remain eligible for the relevant draw, subject always to these Terms and Conditions. The Promoter’s decision regarding the validity of an account or entry shall be final, subject to any rights the Entrant may have under applicable law.

The Promoter reserves the right to:
(a) close, suspend or restrict any duplicate, multiple or otherwise prohibited accounts
(b) take further action as it considers reasonably necessary to protect the integrity and fairness of the promotion

4.8 For help with entries, please contact the Promoter using the details in clause 2.3.

5. Paid Entry (Online Entry Route)

5.1 For all paid entries, the Entrant must first create an account on the Website or App (one account per person).

To enter a Competition via the Online Entry Route:

  • (a) Draw-Based Competitions:
    • (i) go to the Website or App;
    • (ii) select the desired number of entries;
    • (iii) complete the checkout process; and
    • (iv) complete the payment to receive the order confirmation and allocated ticket number(s).
  • (b) Instant Win Competitions;
    • (i) go to the Website or App and view the Instant Win Competition;
    • (ii) select the desired number of entries;
    • (iii) complete the checkout process;
    • (iv) complete the payment to receive the allocated ticket(s); and
    • (v) look up the ticket to see whether the Entrant has won.
  • (c) Instant Reveal Promotions:
    • (i) go to the Website or App and select the chosen Instant Reveal Promotion;
    • (ii) select the desired number of entries;
    • (iii) complete the checkout process;
    • (iv) complete the payment to finalise the entry; and
    • (v) reveal the outcome of the entry using the reveal mechanic for that particular Instant Reveal Promotion. The outcome is predetermined at the point of entry and cannot be influenced by any action the Entrant takes.

5.2 Order Confirmation. The Promoter will send order confirmation that the entry has been received to the email address registered to the Entrant’s account. For Draw-Based and Instant Win Competitions, confirmation will include the ticket number(s) allocated.

5.3 By purchasing entries, registering an account and submitting an entry, the Entrant is entering into a contract with the Promoter and agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

6. Recurring Billing and Auto-Entry

6.1 The Promoter may offer Entrants the option to subscribe to recurring billing in order to be automatically entered into future promotion periods of specified Competitions.

6.2 Recurring billing intervals available are weekly, bi-monthly or monthly, as selected by the Entrant at checkout.

6.3 By selecting recurring billing, the Entrant authorises the Promoter to take the entry fee automatically at the agreed interval and to allocate entries on the Entrant’s behalf into the relevant Competition(s).

6.4 The Entrant will receive confirmation of each recurring entry by email, including details of the Competition into which the Entrant has been entered.

6.5 The Entrant may cancel recurring billing at any time by logging into their account and updating their preferences. Cancellation takes effect from the next billing cycle.

6.6 Where a scheduled payment cannot be processed (for example, due to expired card details or insufficient funds), the Promoter is not obliged to allocate entries for that period, and no liability arises to the Entrant in respect of missed entries.

6.7 All recurring entries are treated in the same way as one-off paid entries and are subject to these Terms and Conditions.

6.8 For Instant Win Competitions and Instant Reveal Promotions, recurring billing means the Entrant will be automatically allocated entries into each new promotion period at the selected billing interval. The outcome of each such entry is fixed in advance and may be revealed at any time during that promotion period through the applicable reveal mechanic.

7. Free Entry (Postal Entry Route)

7.1 Free entries:
(a) are entered into the same Competition draw as paid entries;
(b) have an equal chance of winning; and
(c) are processed in a manner that provides a genuine and effective opportunity to participate.

7.2 The Postal Entry Route will at all times:
(a) be clearly displayed with equal prominence to the paid option and before any paid entry is selected;
(b) provide a genuine and effective opportunity to participate; and
(c) be open for sufficient time to allow participation through the submission of postal entries at the normal rate, by ordinary first- or second-class post. An entry sent by ordinary first- or second-class post does not constitute a payment to enter the Competition.

7.3 To enter for free, the Entrant must:
(a) create an account on the Website or App (one account per person);
(b) send a postal entry by first- or second-class post to MONOPOLY COMPS, PO BOX 8560, ISLE OF CUMBRAE, KA28 9AD;
(c) include on the postal entry: full name, address, email address, contact telephone number, the online account name, the Competition reference and the answer to any elimination question (if applicable); and
(d) answer any elimination question correctly (if applicable).

7.4 Conditions for free entry:
(a) entries must be submitted individually; multiple entries on one postal entry will count as one entry;
(b) there is no limit to the number of separate postal entries that may be submitted (subject to any per-Entrant limit stated on the Competition Page);
(c) the Entrant must allow sufficient time for the postal entry to be delivered and processed into the draw by the Closing Date. Entries not received by the Closing Date will be disqualified (subject to clause 7.5); and
(d) proof of posting is not proof of receipt.

7.5 Late Postal Entries. Where a postal entry is received by the Promoter within 72 hours after the Closing Date, the Entrant will receive a credit equal to the cost of an equivalent Online Entry Route entry, which the Entrant may use to enter an alternative Competition of their choice on the Website or App using the Online Entry Route. This does not entitle the Entrant to be entered into the original Competition after the Closing Date.

7.6 The Promoter will not accept:
(a) responsibility for entries that are corrupted, not successfully completed or transmitted, lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including as a result of any postal, equipment, technical, network, server, website, hardware or software failure of any kind; or
(b) proof of posting or transmission as proof of receipt of entry.

8. Eligibility

8.1 Competitions of the Promoter are open only to individuals aged 18 years or over who are resident in permitted jurisdictions — England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland, subject to local law confirmation, except:
(a) employees, directors and officers of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies;
(b) employees of agents, suppliers or service providers of the Promoter who are professionally connected with the Competition or its administration;
(c) employees, directors and officers of Zap;
(d) members of the immediate families or households of any of the above; and
(e) any person who has access to confidential information about the Competition (including its prize, draw mechanism or winners) prior to public announcement.

8.2 By entering a Competition, the Entrant confirms eligibility to enter and to claim any prize. The Promoter may require the Entrant to provide documentary proof of eligibility. The Entrant must provide the requested proof within 21 days of the Promoter’s request. Failure to do so within that period may result in disqualification and the selection of an alternative Winner, and no refund of entry fees will be given.

8.3 The Promoter will not accept entries that are:
(a) automatically generated by computer or created by artificial intelligence (including but not limited to chatbots such as ChatGPT or similar software applications);
(b) completed by third parties or in bulk;
(c) illegible, altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with;
(d) photocopies rather than originals (in the case of postal entries); or
(e) incomplete.

8.4 The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify an Entrant whose conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the Competition (for example, attempting to circumvent entry limits, using multiple accounts, providing false information, or otherwise seeking an unfair advantage).

8.5 Competition entries cannot be returned.

9. Draw Process and Fairness

9.1 All valid entries have an equal probability of winning. Prizes are awarded in accordance with the laws of chance.

9.2 Winner Selection Method. Winners are selected by one of the following methods, as stated on the Competition Page:
(a) for automated draws, by application of RNG.org, which ensures every generated result remains transparent, traceable, and protected against tampering. Automated draws will take place 30 minutes after the competition has ended.
(b) for live draws, RNG.org; which ensures every generated result remains transparent, traceable, and protected against tampering. Live draws will take place 30 minutes after the competition has ended.

Details of the RNG certification and audit trail are published on the Draw Results page of the Website.

9.3 Live Draws. For draws conducted in a live broadcast format, the draw is valid and complete once the ticket number(s) are generated without interruption. Where a generated ticket number does not correspond to a sold ticket, the Promoter will reload the drawing mechanism and repeat the draw until a sold ticket number is generated.

9.4 Draw Disruption. If a draw is disrupted for any reason, or has an inconclusive outcome, the Promoter may, in its reasonable discretion, re-run the draw using the same process or an equivalent alternative method. This right will not be exercised to change the outcome of a validly conducted draw.

9.5 Instant Win — Ticket Assignment and Winning Ticket Selection. For Instant Win Competitions:
(a) Ticket Assignment — each Entrant is assigned a ticket at the point of entry, using a verifiably random process;
(b) Winning Ticket Selection — winning tickets are selected before the Competition’s Opening Date, also using a verifiably random process;
(c) as a result, the outcome of any Instant Win entry is predetermined at the point the ticket is assigned to the Entrant; and
(d) Ticket Assignment and Winning Ticket Selection are separate stages, both conducted using verifiably random processes.

9.6 Any game-style features, animations or visualisations used in the entry or reveal process are for illustrative purposes only and do not influence the outcome of any Competition. The outcome is determined independently of such visuals.

10. The Prize

10.1 Full prize details are stated on each Competition Page on the Promoter’s website. Prize details are, to the best of the Promoter’s knowledge, information and belief, correct as at the Opening Date.

10.2 The Promoter will not reduce prize value due to low ticket sales, and will not cancel a Competition due to low participation. Any amendments permitted under these Terms may not be exercised for commercial reasons, including where entry levels are lower than expected.

10.3 Substitution. The Promoter may substitute the prize with a prize of equal or greater value where the prize becomes unavailable for reasons outside the Promoter’s reasonable control, or with a reasonable cash alternative where stated on the Competition Page. Substitution will not be used where the reason for unavailability is low ticket sales. Any substitution will be communicated to entrants promptly.

10.4 Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged, except for any cash alternative expressly offered on the Competition Page.

10.5 Holiday Prizes. Where the prize is a holiday:
(a) the holiday is provided in accordance with the details set out on the Competition Page;
(b) the number of people, the class of transport, type of carrier, travel destination, number of nights and travel dates are as set out on the Competition Page;
(c) the prize does not include travel insurance, the cost of transfers to and from airports or stations, food and drink, spending money, tax or personal expenses, unless otherwise stated on the competition page. Any other costs incidental to the fulfilment of the prize are the Winner’s responsibility; and
(d) the Winner is responsible for ensuring that they and any person travelling with them are available to travel and hold valid passports, visas and travel documents on the travel dates specified. Once notified to the travel agent, dates cannot be changed.

10.6 Vehicle Prizes. Where the prize is a vehicle:
(a) unless otherwise stated on the Competition Page, the Promoter will ensure the vehicle comes with a valid MOT (where required);
(b) no insurance is included with the prize, unless otherwise stated on the competition page, and it is the Winner’s responsibility to ensure the vehicle is adequately insured prior to taking it on the public roads (where lawful to do so);
(c) the Promoter has no responsibility for the vehicle once it has been delivered to, or collected by, the Winner. The Winner is solely responsible for complying with all relevant laws and regulations relating to the vehicle, its operation, and for ensuring that it is operated in a safe and responsible manner;
(d) no vehicle or road tax is included, unless otherwise stated on the competition page;
(e) the Winner is solely responsible for ensuring they have all necessary safety equipment and clothing (for example, helmets, boots and gloves) and for wearing it whilst operating the vehicle; and
(f) where the vehicle is delivered by the Promoter, transfer of ownership will be effected by V5 following handover.

10.7 Where the prize is supplied by a third party, the details of the third party will be set out on the Competition Page.

10.8 Some prizes, such as some Instant Win prizes, may be subject to availability. Where this is the case, this will be clearly set out on the Competition Page.

10.9 Tax and Duty. The Winner is responsible for any tax, duty or other liability arising from the prize. Under current UK law, competition prizes are generally not subject to income tax for individual winners, but the Promoter cannot provide tax advice and the Winner should seek independent guidance if required.

11. Winners

11.1 The Promoter’s decision on the operation of the Competition is final, save for the complaints process referred to at clause 2.3 and the Entrant’s statutory rights, which are unaffected.

11.2 The Promoter will contact the Winner by email and telephone using the details provided with the entry, within 7 days of the Announcement Date.

11.3 Change of Contact Details. If any of the Entrant’s personal details change at any time, the Entrant should notify the Promoter as soon as reasonably possible by email using the details in clause 2.3. Notifications must include the Competition entered, the Entrant’s previous details and the Entrant’s new details. Where the change is notified less than 10 days before the Closing Date, the Promoter may use the previous details if it needs to try to contact the Entrant.

11.4 Publication of Winners. The Promoter must publish, or make available, information indicating that a valid award took place. To meet this obligation, the Promoter will publish the Winner’s full name and county (and, if applicable, their winning entry) on the Website or App (or other platforms specified on the Competition Page) on the Announcement Date.

11.5 If the Entrant objects to the publication of their full name, county and/or winning entry, they should contact the Promoter using the details in clause 2.3. In such circumstances, the Promoter must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.

11.6 Additional Publicity. Where the Promoter wishes to use a Winner’s name, image or likeness in publicity beyond the full name / county disclosure at clause 11.4, the Promoter will seek the Winner’s consent. Such consent will not be a condition of receiving the prize.

11.7 Prize Threshold Verification. Where a Winner has won a prize with a value above a threshold set from time to time by the Promoter, the Winner must, to claim the prize, provide valid proof of identity and address that matches the name and address used to register with the Promoter. If the Winner does not provide such proof within 21 days of accepting the prize, the Promoter may conduct its own investigation. Where the Promoter is unable to verify the Winner’s identity within 3 months of the applicable draw, the Promoter may offer the prize to an Alternate Winner in accordance with clause 12.

12. Claiming the Prize

12.1 The Winner will have 14 days from the Announcement Date to claim the prize by following the details set out on the Competition Page of the Promoter.

12.2 Reasonable Efforts and Unclaimed Prizes. The Promoter will make reasonable and documented efforts to contact the Winner for a minimum of 14 days from the Announcement Date using the contact details provided at entry. Where the Winner cannot be contacted, does not respond, or fails to provide required verification details despite such efforts, the Promoter may, acting reasonably, offer the prize to the next eligible Entrant. The Promoter will not declare a prize unclaimed solely on the basis that the Winner has not yet provided bank details.

12.3 Alternate Winner Cascade. Where the prize is offered to an alternate Entrant under clause 12.2 (an “Alternate Winner”), that Alternate Winner shall have 21 days from notification to communicate acceptance of the prize. This process shall continue until an Alternate Winner accepts the prize.

12.4 The prize may not be claimed by a third party on the Winner’s behalf.

12.5 The Promoter does not accept any responsibility if the Winner is unable to take up the prize.

12.6 Cash Prizes. Cash prizes require:
(a) valid UK bank account details;
(b) reasonable ID verification, being government-issued photographic ID that matches the account name, age and address;
(c) evidence that the Winner is the sole or joint beneficiary of the nominated bank account; and
(d) any other reasonable verification information requested by the Promoter.
Failure to provide any required evidence within 21 days of accepting the prize may result in disqualification and forfeiture, provided the Promoter has made reasonable and documented efforts to contact the Winner. Where forfeiture occurs, the Promoter may offer the prize to an Alternate Winner in accordance with clause 12.3.

12.7 Prize Delivery. Non-cash prizes will be delivered or made available to the Winner within a reasonable period, typically 28 days from confirmation of Winner details, subject to logistical arrangements. Delays will be communicated promptly.

13. Prize Validation

13.1 Before a prize is paid or delivered, the entry must be successfully validated in accordance with the Promoter’s reasonable validation procedures adopted from time to time. The Promoter’s decision on validity will be final and binding, provided it is reasonable.

13.2 Without limiting clause 13.1, the Promoter is entitled to declare an entry invalid (and refund the entry fee and not pay the prize, or, where clause 13.3 applies, provide a lower-value payment) where:
(a) the entry fails the Promoter’s validation and security checks;
(b) the ticket assigned to the entry is not on the Promoter’s official list of tickets selected by Winning Ticket Selection, or the relevant prize for that ticket has already been paid;
(c) any detail of the ticket assigned to the entry does not match the Promoter’s official records;
(d) the entry is defective, or was made by deceptive or fraudulent means;
(e) the Entrant knew, or ought reasonably to have known, that the Instant Win game or Instant Reveal Promotion was malfunctioning (whether due to a system malfunction or the reveal animation, or both) at the time of entry;
(f) as a result of any technical fault or human error, the outcome of the entry as displayed by the reveal animation does not match the outcome predetermined by the Promoter’s systems during Winning Ticket Selection; or
(g) as a result of any technical fault or human error, the distribution, frequency, number, description or value of prizes, or the percentage return to player (%RTP), materially differ from those set out in the Promoter’s game description for the relevant Instant Win game or Instant Reveal Promotion.

13.3 Where an entry is declared invalid under clauses 13.2(f) or (g), the Promoter will either (i) pay the value of the prize claimed after deducting the excess sum caused by the fault or error, or (ii) refund the entry fee, whichever is greater.

13.4 Where the Entrant reasonably believes that clauses 13.2(c), (f) or (g) have arisen and, as a result, has not received the correct prize, the Entrant may notify the Promoter. The Promoter will use reasonable efforts to investigate and, if the investigation shows the Entrant is correct, pay the value of the prize claimed after deducting the value of any prize or payment previously provided.

13.5 The Entrant acknowledges that Instant Win games and Instant Reveal Promotions are games of chance and that outcomes are predetermined during Winning Ticket Selection at the point of entry. The outcome is not affected by any skill or judgment or by the Entrant’s interaction with the reveal animation. The reveal animation is for presentation only and has no bearing on the outcome.

14. Limitation of Liability

14.1 Insofar as permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents and distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the Winner or accept any liability for any loss or damage occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or their employees. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, which cannot be excluded under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977. The Entrant’s statutory rights are not affected.

14.2 The Entrant agrees and acknowledges that:
(a) Zap acts solely as a technology platform provider to the Promoter for the promotion of the Competitions;
(b) Zap is not a party to any contract between the Entrant and the Promoter, and there is no contractual relationship between the Entrant and Zap;
(c) the Entrant enters into Competitions solely with the Promoter;
(d) Zap does not operate, manage or administer any Competition, does not hold participant funds, and is not responsible for the fulfilment of any prize; and
(e) any claims, disputes or issues arising out of or in connection with a Competition must be directed solely to the Promoter and not to Zap.

14.3 For the avoidance of doubt, to the fullest extent permitted by law, Zap shall have no liability whatsoever, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise, arising out of or in connection with:
(a) any Competition operated by the Promoter;
(b) any entry into a Competition;
(c) the selection of Winners;
(d) the award, non-award or fulfilment of any prize; or
(e) any act or omission of the Promoter.

14.4 The Promoter is solely responsible to the Entrant for:
(a) the operation and administration of each Competition;
(b) compliance with all Applicable Laws; and
(c) the selection of Winners and fulfilment of prizes.

15. Data Protection and Publicity

15.1 Personal Data. The Promoter processes personal data in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. The lawful bases relied upon include performance of a contract (administering Competitions and delivering prizes), compliance with a legal obligation, legitimate interests (fraud prevention and harm monitoring) and, where applicable, consent (including for direct marketing).

15.2 Purposes. Personal data is used to:
(a) administer Competitions and notify Winners;
(b) meet legal and regulatory obligations;
(c) monitor for harm and protect Entrant safety; and
(d) send marketing communications, where consent has been given.

15.3 Privacy Notice. Full details of retention periods, categories of recipients (including Zap as data processor) and Entrants’ rights (including access, rectification, erasure, portability, and the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at www.ico.org.uk) are set out in the Promoter’s Privacy Notice, available at https://monopolycomps.zap.co.uk/privacy-policy/.

15.4 Publicity. If the Entrant submits any content (including photographs, comments or video), it may be used by the Promoter for reasonable publicity purposes. If the Entrant does not wish to participate in publicity, they must notify the Promoter using the contact details in clause 2.3. This will not affect the Entrant’s chances of winning a prize. The Promoter must still provide the required information about a valid award to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.

15.5 Right to No Contact. Under data protection law, the Entrant may request that the Promoter does not contact them and removes their details from the Promoter’s records. Making such a request may amount to withdrawing from any live Competition (as it will not be possible to contact the Entrant if they win), and no entry-fee refund will be given in those circumstances. Marketing consent may be withdrawn at any time using the unsubscribe mechanism in any marketing communication or by contacting the Promoter.

16. Responsible Play and Player Protection

16.1 Commitment to Safe Play. The Promoter is committed to ensuring that all competitions are conducted in a safe, transparent, and responsible manner. Competitions are intended for entertainment purposes only.

16.2 Financial Controls and Spend Limits. To prevent excessive spending, the Promoter implements the following financial safeguards and notification systems across all user accounts:

(a) Voluntary Spend Limits. Entrants may set a maximum monthly spend limit through their account dashboard at any time. This limit can be reduced immediately or set to £0.00 to enforce a temporary break.

16.3 Account Suspension and Restrictions. Entrants may request a temporary cooling-off period or permanent account deactivation at any time by accessing their account settings or contacting customer support.

16.4 Age Verification and Protection of Minors. Participation in any competition is strictly prohibited for individuals under the age of 18.

(a) Verification Requirements. The Promoter enforces reasonable age verification protocols. Full verification is mandatory to receive a cash or physical prize.

(b) Immediate Suspension for Non-Compliance. If an Entrant’s age cannot be conclusively verified through standard administrative checks, the Promoter shall suspend their account immediately. The account will remain locked until the Entrant provides legally satisfactory proof of age.

(c) Voiding Underage Entries. Any account found to be operated by a minor shall be closed permanently. All associated entries, ticket allocations, and prize entitlements shall be declared null and void without refund.

16.5 Signposting of Support Services. If an Entrant exhibits signs of excessive participation, such as spending beyond intended limits or experiencing anxiety regarding entries, they are strongly encouraged to seek independent assistance. Free, confidential support can be accessed via the following external organisations:

(a) Citizens Advice (Financial and debt wellbeing support);
(b) National Debtline (Independent debt advisory services);
(c) Samaritans (24/7 emotional and health support);
(d) Mind (Mental health resources and guidance)
(e) Money Advice Trust (Debt advice support services)

17.4 Investigation and Final Response. The Promoter will investigate the matters raised in your complaint and aims to provide a full, written final response within 14 to 28 days from the date of the initial acknowledgement. In all circumstances, a final response will be provided within 8 weeks of receiving your formal complaint.

17.5 Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). If you remain dissatisfied with the Promoter’s final response, or if the complaint has not been resolved within the timeframe specified in 17.4, you may have the right to refer the dispute to an independent body. For further details on alternative dispute resolution mechanisms applicable to these Terms, please refer to the Governing Law provision in clause 19.

18. General

18.1 Amendments to Terms. The Promoter may amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Material changes will not be applied to Competitions already opened for entry at the time of the change. The latest version of these Terms will be published on the Website and App, with the date of the last update shown at the foot of this document. All Entrants will be notified of any changes to the Terms, and any major changes will be highlighted where possible.

18.2 Exclusion for Breach. Where the Promoter reasonably believes that there has been a breach of these Terms, the Promoter may, in its reasonable discretion, exclude the Entrant from participating in the current Competition and any future Competitions offered by the Promoter. Where the Promoter decides to exclude an Entrant, it will communicate the alleged breach and its decision to the Entrant using the contact details associated with the Entrant’s account (for example, by email).

18.3 Cancellation, Suspension or Amendment of Competitions. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, suspend or amend a Competition only where necessary due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including technical failure, fraud, or legal or regulatory requirements. In such circumstances:
(a) valid paid entries will be refunded or, with the Entrant’s prior consent, carried forward into a replacement Competition on equivalent terms; and
(b) any material changes will be clearly communicated to Entrants before they take effect, by notice on the Competition Page and/or Website and, where available, by email to the address associated with the Entrant’s account.

This right will not be exercised for commercial reasons, including where entry levels are lower than expected.

18.4 Force Majeure. Neither the Promoter nor Zap will be liable for any failure to perform obligations under these Terms due to events outside their reasonable control, including but not limited to supplier insolvency, natural disasters, pandemic, regulatory action, or failure of third-party services.

18.5 Third-Party Platform Disclaimer. Competitions are in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Meta (including Facebook and Instagram), Apple, Google, or any other social media platform or app-store operator. By entering, the Entrant agrees that none of these platforms have any liability or responsibility for the administration or promotion of any Competition.

18.6 Voluntary Code. The Promoter is a signatory to, or operates in alignment with, the DCMS Voluntary Code of Good Practice for Prize Draw Operators, available at gov.uk/government/publications/voluntary-code-of-good-practice-for-prize-draw-operators.

18.7 Print a Copy. The Entrant is encouraged to print or save a copy of these Terms for their records.

19. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

19.1 These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer, including any rights you have under local laws to bring a claim in the courts of your country of residence (such as Scotland or Northern Ireland).

19.2 The courts of England and Wales shall have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms, save that:
(a) a consumer resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland may bring proceedings in the courts of that jurisdiction; and
(b) a consumer resident in an EU Member State may bring proceedings in the courts of the Member State in which the Entrant is resident.
